Background
Víctor Ciudad-Fernández holds a PhD in psychological assessment from Universitat de València, where he develops research lines on human behavior, problematic use of technology and applied psychometric measurement. His work bridges two worlds that rarely talk to each other: the methodological rigor of academic psychology and the day-to-day operations of organizations.
In 2024 he co-founded Beetrics to bring that same rigor to Spanish HR teams: detect informal leaders, hidden talent, knowledge keepers and communication bottlenecks inside mid-to-large companies, and translate those findings into concrete action plans.
Beetrics is part of the Universitat de València scientific ecosystem through IAtecUV and of the Spanish entrepreneurial ecosystem through Lanzadera (Marina de Empresas, Juan Roig).
Research areas
- Human behavior and data. Measuring conduct patterns at scale with validated psychometric instruments.
- Problematic social media use. The key indicator is not screen time, but loss of control and associated social conflict.
- Organizational network analysis. Applying network methodology to continuous diagnosis of talent and corporate culture.
- Actionable people analytics. Translating quantitative findings into operational HR decisions.
